When despair rises through so many different forms – meaninglessness, guilt, condemnation - we are invited to set a new agenda with new goals. What does that look like? Imagine new possibilities – reflect, pray, and act in new ways each day. “Walk” the Fear Not labyrinth that truly represents that “It’s become #sh!t in a handbasket.” But remember those words from scripture – all is not lost – each new day brings forth new opportunities … new dreams. “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).
AND there is more! Yes, abound in hope – and do it 24/7/365 – every day and every way! Fear not… abound in hope! As Paul reminded the folks in Rome: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). Say goodbye to the old and hello to a new reality by making time to filled with happiness, joy and kindness every day in new ways. Imagine the possibilities!
